Although good pedagogy should be the overriding concern in teaching, the strongest feelings appear to be evoked by the digital delivery tools used in teaching, such as online lectures and courses (especially MOOCS), eTextBooks and simulation software. This BOF aims to have students and teachers discuss some of their experiences with the use of digital teaching tools, with a special focus on the still-developing eTextBooks. This focus is needed because the broad subject of the effectiveness and economies of online education is a 'Grand Challenge' question on which entire conferences are held.
