BOF: Gateways for Humanities, Arts, and Social Science

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This BOF is for anyone interested in high performance computing for Humanities, Arts, or Social Science. Science gateways offer a low barrier of entry to high performance computing. XSEDE is working with humanities scholars to create gateways to allow others to easily use a variety of tools with their own data. There are currently three gateways in development for humanities, arts, and social science and this BOF will provide an update and a chance for discussion, input, questions, etc. We will have project leaders and technical developers in the room to participate in the discussion and we’d love to hear your thoughts, too. The gateways currently under development include:

• Text Analysis
•Video / Image Analysis
• Network Analysis.

Topics we will discuss include (but are not limited to):

• Current Status of the Gateways
•Use Cases for Gateways
• Potential Data Sources
• Anything the group would like to discuss.

Regardless of your level of experience, we'd like to invite you to join in the discussion! If you have any questions or suggestions, please send them to: Alan Craig XSEDE HASS Specialist acraig@ncsa.uiuc.edu
